Lazio have joined Parma, Napoli, Bologna, and Torino in the race to sign Inter Milan striker Francesco Pio Esposito.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the list of clubs keen on the teenage striker is only growing.
Francesco Pio Esposito’s season with Spezia is over.
The teenage striker enjoyed a stellar campaign with the Ligurian team. However, it was not enough to push them to promotion to Serie A.
Nevertheless, on an individual level, Pio Esposito’s season has meant that it is all but inevitable that he will get a move to the top flight next campaign.
The 19-year-old scored a total of nineteen goals for Spezia over the season just gone,

By all accounts, Inter Milan see Francesco Pio Esposito as part of their future plans. That is why they have extended his contract until the end of June 2030.
Meanwhile, Pio Esposito could be part of Inter’s squad for the FIFA Club World Cup.
However, the Nerazzurri and Pio Esposito will have a decision to make ahead of next campaign.
Because Spezia have not won promotion to Serie A after a dramatic playoff final against Cremonese, Pio Esposito will have to join a new club to start gaining top flight experience.
There are a few clubs with an interested in Pio Esposito. Reportedly Parma have asked about the 19-year-old’s signature. Bologna and Torino also want to sign him on loan.
But according to La Repubblica, yet another club has joined the list. They report that Lazio are also eyeing up a deal for Pio Esposito.
