Lazio are already laying the groundwork for a summer swoop for Hellas Verona right-back Jackson Tchatchoua.
The Biancocelesti have already emerged as a serious candidate to sign the Gialloblu’s rising young midfielder Reda Belahyane, and have reportedly held a meeting with his agent at Formello. Nevertheless, the 20-year-old Moroccan might not be the solitary Verona player on Angelo Fabiani’s shortlist.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Lazio are also following Tchatchoua with great interest. The right-back made the move from Belgium side Charleroi to the Bentegodi in the summer of 2023, so he’s already well familiar with Marco Baroni, having served under tha manager’s tutelage last season.
The Cameroon international started the campaign on a bright note, catching the attention of some of the biggest clubs in Serie A. Nevertheless, Lazio president Claudio Lotito shares an excellent rapport with his Verona counterpart Maurizio Setti, which could give the Aquile a significant advantage.
The Roman newspaper rules out a January transfer, revealing that Lazio are hoping to lure the 23-year-old to the Italian capital next summer. He could arrive as a replacement for the experienced Adam Marusic whose contract will expire at the end of the season.
