Lea Schüller: 'Manchester United is the perfect club to join' | OneFootball

Manchester United have officially announced the signing of German international forward Lea Schüller from Bayern Munich.

The 28-year-old had six months remaining on her deal with the Bavarian side and said goodbye to the fans in her last game.

Schüller has now reinforced Marc Skinner's forward line after signing a three-and-a-half-year contract with the club making her the second mid-season signing alongside Swedish defender Hanna Lundqvist.

"From the first conversations that I had with Marc and the club, the ambitions of everyone here were very clear," Schüller said on her arrival. 

"I still have so much that I want to achieve in my career, and I know that Manchester United is the perfect club to join.

"I feel that the team’s style of football will really suit my game, I hope my qualities and experience can help us to achieve our aims both in England and in the Champions League."

Schüller could be in line for a United debut following the winter break when United face a tough trip away to Arsenal in the WSL.
