Leeds United have confirmed FC Augsburg as their final Elland Road friendly of the summer, adding to the newly scheduled RB Leipzig date. The announcement completes the home leg of Daniel Farke's pre-season.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, RB Leipzig will visit on Saturday August 8, with Augsburg following at 15:00 on Saturday August 15, one week before the Premier League kicks off.
Daniel Farke previously based pre-seasons in Germany, training at Hotel Klosterpforte in Harsewinkel and facing Bundesliga opposition, but this time the German clubs come to Elland Road. The wider programme includes three games against Premier League sides, two against teams from other big five leagues and one against a Championship club.
Augsburg finished ninth in last season's Bundesliga, missing out on Europe by four points. Their highlights included a comeback win at Bayern Munich in January.
Their trip will reunite Okafor with Switzerland colleague Rieder, Augsburg's top scorer last season and one of six Augsburg players at this summer's World Cup. The others are Austria's Michael Gregoritsch, Croatia's Kristijan Jakić, DR Congo's Nathanaël Mbuku and Tunisia duo Ismaël Gharbi and Elias Saad.
Leeds will also head to America for a training camp and a trio of games against Wrexham, Sunderland and Liverpool. They then return to Dublin to face Manchester United at Croke Park after last summer's sold-out Aviva Stadium friendly against AC Milan.
Ticket details for the Leipzig and Augsburg fixtures will follow in due course.
