Leeds United are exploring moves for free agents Julian Brandt and Harry Wilson to strengthen their attack this summer. According to NY Times, both have been identified as priority targets.

Brandt, 30, and Wilson, 29, are out of contract at Borussia Dortmund and Fulham at the end of this month. Competition is expected to be fierce for elite free agents.

Capped 48 times by Germany, Brandt has routinely posted double figures for combined goals and assists in the Bundesliga. A right‑footer who can play across the line, he would suit Daniel Farke’s 3-4-2-1 as a support attacker.

Leeds were close to signing Wilson on deadline day last summer before the switch collapsed. He then delivered 10 goals and seven assists in the Premier League, with only seven players involved in more.

Leeds still want a left‑footed creator who drifts in from the right, which fits Wilson. They also hope the presence of his international team‑mates in West Yorkshire, and long‑standing interest, could aid their case.

Brandt is older than last summer’s typical targets, yet 30 is hardly old and he has topped 2,000 league minutes in eight of his past 10 seasons. This is an ambitious chase in a crowded market, and consistency remains the question for him.
