Leeds United fell 1-0 to Sunderland at Elland Road, but their supporters stayed loud throughout a frustrating evening.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the home crowd backed Daniel Farke’s side and made their anger at key calls clear, with visitors in from Australia and the USA.
Habib Diarra settled the contest with a second-half penalty.
Leeds felt they should have had a spot-kick of their own for a foul on Pascal Struijk.
Farke’s team were also irritated by the visitors’ game-management, with Sunderland coping despite a lengthy injury list.
Even so, the Elland Road atmosphere held firm throughout.
