Leeds United teenager Harry Gray has returned to Thorp Arch for treatment on a hamstring strain suffered on loan at Rotherham United. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, he will miss the start of Lee Clark's tenure but the issue is not considered season-ending.

The 17-year-old had been ever present since joining the Millers in January to aid their survival fight. He sat out the midweek heavy defeat to Peterborough United, then the following day Matt Hamshaw was dismissed and swiftly replaced by Clark.

Clark said it is common for young loanees to rehab with their parent club, and Gray can benefit from Leeds' facilities nearby. He added they are hopeful the forward will be available for the next batch of fixtures after Saturday.

Hamshaw had rated Gray highly and game time assurances smoothed the January move. Clark described him as an exciting talent with strong pedigree and wants him back involved as soon as possible, noting a lengthy injury list on arrival.

Rotherham visit league-leading Lincoln City on Saturday, managed by former Leeds coach Michael Skubala. Stevenage then come to New York Stadium, and Gray's problem is thought to be minor, with a likely lay-off of two to three weeks.
