Leeds United complete their pre-season tour of America against Liverpool in Chicago on Sunday, and we set out a likely line-up.

As reported by yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke rotated against Sunderland on Thursday, when £34m summer signing Tarik Muharemovic made an eye-catching debut in central defence.

Sebastiaan Bornauw returned from a minor setback to start alongside Joe Rodon, who captained with Ethan Ampadu benched. Jaka Bijol was absent after a knee knock.

Anton Stach also dropped to the bench, with Ao Tanaka paired with Sean Lonsgstaff in midfield and wing backs Jayden Bogle and the returning Gabi Gudmundsson. Gudmundsson’s comeback left only Brenden Aaronson and Noah Okafor yet to feature, and Okafor was granted extended leave and will not play in America.

Sunday could offer a chance for Aaronson and perhaps number nine Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who returned to training on Tuesday after a small pre-season setback. With that pair out against Sunderland, Lukas Nmecha led the line and Joel Piroe was benched, supported by new signing Harry Wilson and youngster Callum Mills. For Liverpool, the predicted picks include Alex Cairns in goal, Bogle at right back, Rodon and Muharemovic at centre-back with James Justin possibly completing a back three, and Gudmundsson at left back.
