Libertadores 2026 group stage drawn, Flamengo placed in Group A | OneFootball

Flamengo have discovered their Copa Libertadores 2026 group opponents after Conmebol held Thursday’s draw in Luque, Paraguay. According to Coluna Do Fla, the reigning champions were placed in Group A with Estudiantes, Cusco and Independiente Medellin.

Group B features Nacional (URU), Universitário (PER), Coquimbo Unido (CHI) and Tolima (COL). Group C contains Fluminense, Bolívar (BOL), Deportivo La Guaira (VEN) and Independiente Rivadavia (ARG). Group D pits Boca Juniors (ARG), Cruzeiro, Universitário Católica (CHI) and Barcelona (EQU).

Group E brings together Penãrol (URU), Corinthians, Santa Fé (COL) and Platense (ARG). Group F includes Palmeiras, Cerro Porteño (PAR), Junior Barranquilla (COL) and Sporting Crsital (PER). Group G lines up LDU (EQU), Lanús (ARG), Alwys Ready (BOL) and Mirassol, while Group H has Independiente del Valle (EQU), Libertad (PAR), Rosário Central (ARG) and Universitário Central (VEN).

The tournament format is unchanged. The top two in each group progress to the last 16, with group winners hosting the second leg. Quarter-finals and semi-finals remain two-legged, and the final stays a single match, with Conmebol still to confirm the venue and stadium for this edition.

Flamengo are the reigning champions and are aiming for a fifth continental crown. Their previous triumphs came against Cobreloa in 1981, River Plate in 2019, Athletico-PR in 2022 and Palmeiras in 2025.
