The Ligue 1 2026-27 season will open on 21-23 August with Paris Saint-Germain hosting Rennes, while Marseille face Strasbourg and Lyon travel to Toulouse. According to L'Équipe, the Ligue de football professionnelle began unveiling the calendar on Wednesday, with nine fixtures set for matchday one.
PSG, the reigning French and European champions, start at home against Rennes, who finished sixth last season. Lyon's trip to Toulouse could fall between the legs of the Champions League play-offs, if they come through the third qualifying round.
Monaco, set for European action in August via the Europa Conference League, visit Le Havre. Lens, last season's runners-up, begin at home to Auxerre.
Le Mans play Brest in their first Ligue 1 match for 16 years. It will also be the top-flight debut for the Marie-Marvingt stadium, 25,000 capacity, opened in 2011.
The remaining openers are Angers v Lille, Nice v Lorient and Troyes v Paris FC.
