The LFP announced on Wednesday that the 2026-27 Ligue 1 calendar is set, with Paris Saint-Germain hosting Rennes on the opening weekend and the first PSG v OM scheduled for 20 September, the fifth matchday.
Lens, runners-up to PSG and Coupe de France winners, begin at home to Auxerre, while Marseille host Strasbourg. Matchday one is slated for 21, 22 and 23 August.
PSG travel to Lille on matchday two, then visit the Vélodrome that Sunday, closing an initial block of five fixtures before the first of three international breaks, down from four in previous seasons.
The opening window merges the former September and October slots and will last three weeks, from late September to early October, following negotiations between FIFA, players and the leagues to reduce travel.
The last major headline fixture falls on matchday 31, Lyon v PSG on 9 May, ahead of the Coupe de France final on 15 May. The campaign concludes with two Saturday multiplex rounds on 22 and 29 May 2027.
