Speaking to the press on the eve of Liverpool's home clash with Aston Villa, Arne Slot stood up for Mohamed Salah and his teammates.

After a string of disappointing results in recent Premier League outings and even in the English Cup, Arne Slot felt compelled to defend his management of the squad. The Dutch manager believes Liverpool's issues are more about injuries than squad depth.
"I'm happy with the team and confident in our strategy. But several players didn't get a proper pre-season or have suffered injuries. When three or four are out, we're left with only 15 or 16 available. I'm sure 20 players are enough, but you need to keep them fit," the Reds' head coach explained.
