Liverpool hammer Galatasaray to book place in Champions League quarter finals

Liverpool thrashed Galatasaray to book their place in the quarter finals of the Champions League.

Goals from Dominik Szoboszlai, Hugo Ekitike, Ryan Gravenberch and Mo Salah helped Arne Slot’s side to a 4-0 win at Anfield, following their 1-0 first-leg loss in Turkey.

Szoboszlai gave his side the lead in the first half with a wonderful low, first-time finish but Salah spurned an opportunity to double Liverpool’s advantage when he missed from the penalty spot.

It would prove not to matter however, with Ekitike finishing on 51 minutes to put Liverpool two up.

Gravenberch made sure of the Reds’ place in the quarter finals with a third before Salah made up for his earlier missed penalty by scoring his 50th Champions League goal.
