Here are today's fixtures.
X is providing all the humour today.
We have 15 minutes to go here until the leaders drop points for the first time. Will it happen?
CHANCE!
Slot has turned to the bench looking for some extra creativity. Federico Chiesa comes on and has a glorious chance to head home the opener but sent it wide.
You can really tell Scott Parker's side did their homework here. It's been virtually a perfect game plan execution of how to stop the reigning champions.
Florian Wirtz is also looking for his first goal or assist in England's top flight, but falls continuously short.
CHANCE!
It's a fizzed effort from the Hungarian Szoboszlai but it's up and over the woodwork.
Liverpool looking a lot livlier now. Especially Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch. Can Burnley continue to park the bus?
SECOND HALF UNDERWAY!
It's a now a completely new full-back pairing for the Reds. Conor Bradley comes in alongside Robertson. Kerkez off, Mac Allister also now off and Szoboszlai moves to midfield.
A reminder of the action to come later, which we hope will bring a bit more drama.
One thing is that Slot will surely need Mohamed Salah in the second half.
HALF-TIME: Burnley 0-0 Liverpool
Substitute Robertson came close to finding the back of the net but it's still nothing to separate these two sides after the first 45 minutes.
Meanwhile, Kerkez has been hauled off for Andy Robertson. Too much pressure and a red card looming, it seems!
CHANCE! Hugo Ekitike draws a shot from a tight angle, a foot wide of the far right back post. What could have been.
The hosts finally have their first corner of the game after 37 minutes. That should tell you something about this game.
Scott Parker will be happy with this, though. The last time he faced Liverpool in the league, his side were down 4-0 by this point before going on to lose by nine.
Still zero shots on target from either side here after 30 minutes.
Something you don't see every day, and likely should more often. Milos Kerkez receives a yellow for diving.
Burnley fans are getting fairly vocal here. First, the boos toward Mac Allister, who didn't leave the pitch after receiving treatment. Then the general jeers and whistles.
He's fine. But it didn't look good.
Injury worry for Liverpool here. Alexis Mac Allister is down for a considerable length of time as the Argentina star received a rash tackle on his ankle.
CHANCE! Back at the other end, Ibrahima Konaté somehow sends a thumping header over the bar from point-blank range following a corner. He'll want that back.
CHANCE!
Big let off for Liverpool. A casual pass from Virgil Van Dijk gives possession to Burnley. They race forward and Jaidon Anthony's shot goes marginally over the bar.
A moment for the kit, please!
The hosts have barely had a touch of the ball, as it's all Liverpool. A lot of play coming down the left wing, but struggling to break down Burnley's 'park the bus style.'
KICK OFF!
And here we go at Turf Moor. What is your prediction? Let us know in the comments below.
The more you know!
Here's what Slot had to say about Isak's absence. Stay patient, Liverpool fans.
"As everybody knew, he didn’t have any team training at Newcastle, then went to the national team [and] only played there for 15 to 20 minutes.
“We think, with a week where we play three games in seven days, this is the best lead-up for him to be available against Atletico Madrid.
“So, where would he be? Second or third week of pre-season, I would say, so able to hopefully play during the week 45 minutes or more, but then two days later, as you know, we play Everton again.
“It’s going to be interesting for the performance staff, for us, to get the best out of him at the start but also to keep him available for the end.”
Some more stats and facts for you. Action kicks off in 30 minutes, buckle up!
Burnley, meanwhile, make two changes to the side who fell 3-2 at Old Trafford last time out. Jacob Bruun Larsen makes way for Loum Tchaouna and Hannibal is replaced by Josh Laurent.
As for team news, the biggest story is that there is still no Alexander Isak in red just yet. The Swede is not included in the matchday squad.
Slot has opted for the same XI that beat Arsenal last time out, notably keeping Dominik Szoboszlai at right-back.
Who remembers the last time a Scott Parker side faced Liverpool?
Tonight sees Arne Slot's Liverpool make the trip to face Burnley. Then the blockbuster showdown sees all eyes turn to Manchester for the blue and red derby.
Happy Sunday, OneFootballers! 👋
It's time for yet more Premier League action on this fine September day. And while the schedule is light, that doesn't mean it won't deliver drama.
