Liverpool are making a move to sign an attacking midfielder who looks like a special talent.
After Harvey Elliott's departure, there's a void in the Reds' squad that needs to be filled. Especially with Dominik Szoboszlai now becoming the club's first-choice right-back.

That void is in the no.10 position. Arne Slot has Florian Wirtz, who will be the club's first choice. But after him it's only Szoboszlai who can play in that role, and the reality is that the Hungarian is needed elsewhere on the pitch at the moment.
This has meant Wirtz has played a lot of games. It's been important to give him those extra minutes in order to help him settle into English football.
But in the years to come it's important for Liverpool to take that load off of his shoulder and give Slot alternative options.
The Reds will not want to run Wirtz to the ground.
Elliott would have been the perfect cover for the German. He's already played in that no.10 position last season, and he's shown in flashes that he has the ability to make the difference when coming on as a substitute.
Liverpool could have done with him against Crystal Palace, where Elliott has previously scored a spectacular winner.
But the England U21 international is the past for Slot's side. He's on loan at Aston Villa and it's expected that his move will be made a permanent one.
All Elliott needs to trigger the £35m transfer fee which will see him become a Villa player is play 10 games for the club. He's already closing in on that number so it's unlikely we will see him back in a red shirt at Anfield any time soon.
Liverpool are seemingly moving on too and they have set their sights on a generational prospect according to a recent report.
Rousing the Kop claim that the Reds have entered the race for 16-year-old sensation Gilberto Mora. The Mexican attacking midfielder has already made 41 appearances for Club Tijuana's first-team, scoring seven times and registering two assists.
Those numbers for a player of his age are Jude Bellingham levels.
Currently, he is competing at the U20 World Cup, where the report claims Liverpool will have scouts following his performances.
If that is true, they would not have been disappointed by his first game.
Coming up against Brazil, Mora registered an assist and created five chances for Mexico while completing 38/42 passes in a 2-2 draw for his side.

Mora is quick, and he reads the game really well. He's technically very gifted and he has a lot of energy to burn as well. The enthusiasm and intelligent with which he plays with makes him a stand-out players.
He seems like the kind of player who could thrive under Slot's system due to his technical qualities. There are shades of Wirtz in his style of play.
Liverpool have been wanting to tap into the market in South and North America for a while so moving for Mora would make a lot of sense.
He'd offer back-up option behind Wirtz and help the Reds enter and explore a market they have wanted to for a while.
As a replacement for Elliott, Mora might just be the perfect option.
