Manchester United reportedly want to sell Joshua Zirkzee, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund for a combined £95 million this summer.

After a terrible season, Ruben Amorim is desperate for some reinforcements that suit his 3-4-3 formation.

The Red Devils seem keen to press ahead with deals for Matheus Cunha and Liam Delap but their summer budget is still unknown.

With United all but guaranteed a bottom half finish in the Premier League, a Europa League win could net the club a mammoth total of £121 million.

Nonetheless, United do hope to raise funds through player sales as well. According to the Daily Star, they have pinpointed Onana, Hojlund and Zirkzee as squad members who are surplus to requirements.

“Ruben Amorim has decided he needs a new goalkeeper and striker in order for Manchester United to compete,” claims reporters Samuel Luckhurst and Patrick Austen-Hardy.

The reporters say Amorim arrived at the conclusion that Onana was not the right keeper for his side after just two months at Old Trafford and will look for a new long-term option in the summer window.

A centre forward is also a fundamental addition this summer as both Hojlund and Zirkzee have failed to score the goals that their price tags promised.

Moreover, the report claims that “it’s likely that United would need to offload Hojlund, Zirkzee and Onana, who are rumoured to be worth a combined total of £95m, to drum up funds for the transfer market.”

Not to lose money on Onana due to PSR financial rules, United would need to sell him for £28.32m, due to his original transfer fee of £47.2 million and the fact he still has three years left on his current contract.

Hojlund would be on the market for around £38.4 million according to the outlet and Zirkzee would be available for £29.2 million.

Zirkzee has certainly impressed United fans more than Hojlund and Onana this season and it could be viewed as harsh to sell him after only a matter of months at the club.

Nonetheless, not many supporters of the club would question the sales of Hojlund and Onana who have both failed to shine in their two years in Manchester.
