Manchester United are gearing up to make a €50 million move for Nottingham Forest star midfielder Ibrahim Sangare.
Ibrahim Sangare’s impressive performances for Nottingham Forest have resulted in a lot of interest from across Europe. According to a report from CaughtOffside, Manchester United are one of the clubs that are keen on signing the Ivorian international.
After making a name for himself at PSV, Sangare made the move to Nottingham in the summer of 2023 and hasn’t looked back since. Not only has he established himself as one of their mainstays, but he is also widely regarded as one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League.
Thanks to his impressive performances, multiple top clubs want to prise him away. With Nottingham fighting for survival in the top flight, his future has become increasingly uncertain. Failure to stay in the Premier League certainly won’t help their cause.

Manchester United have emerged as serious suitors for the 28-year-old’s signature. They are looking at him as an ideal short-term replacement for Casemiro, who is set to leave the club at the end of the season. With Manuel Ugarte also not living up to expectations, investing in Sangare, who is a Premier League-proven player, will certainly make a lot of sense.
The Red Devils are impressed by his dominance in duels and composure under pressure, and are set to rival Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Aston Villa and West Ham in the race for his signature. Forest, who signed him for €35 million back in the day, would want €45-50 million for the Ivorian international.
Manchester United could look at him as a cost-effective option, as other targets like Adam Wharton or Carlos Baleba will cost a fortune compared to him. The Red Devils certainly have the financial strength to sign Sangare this summer. As a result, it will be interesting to see if they do make a move.
