Tarik Muharemovic is fast becoming the primary focus of Sassuolo’s transfer market as elite European clubs circle the young Bosnian defender. According to Gazzetta di Modena, Manchester United sent emissaries to the Stadio Dall’Ara on Sunday to personally scout the 2003-born center-back during the clash against Bologna.

The Red Devils scouts were likely impressed as Muharemovic marked the occasion with a goal, his second of the season, further solidifying his reputation as a modern, physically imposing defender. The report highlights that the Premier League is increasingly enamored with the player, noting:

“What catches the eye is his personality, which is not at all common for a player of his age, and which, combined with his foot and his physicality, makes him the perfect prototype of a central defender for the dynamic and daring football that characterizes the English league.”

Manchester United are not alone in their pursuit, as Aston Villa and Bournemouth have also joined the fray. For Bournemouth, the interest is bolstered by the successful precedent of Dean Huijsen, another former Juventus Next Gen defender who flourished under their watch.

Despite the growing English interest, Inter and Juventus remain in contention domestically, with the Bianconeri holding a 50% resale clause that could prove decisive in any summer bidding war.
