Leeds United loanee Manor Solomon has indicated he would like to make his move to Leeds United permanent after his loan spell finishes.
Leeds United’s Manor Solomon has hinted he would be open to staying at Elland Road beyond his loan spell from Tottenham Hotspur, according to a report from Leeds Live.
The 25-year-old linked up with Daniel Farke’s men after struggling to nail down a first-team place in North London under Ange Postecoglou, and it is believed he may have played his last game for Spurs, with Solomon unlikely to get much of an opportunity while the Australian is still boss.
Solomon has impressed the Leeds faithful in recent times, contributing three goals and four assists from 19 Championship outings, and a decision will have to be made in the near future about where he plays his football next term.
The choice could rest on which division the Whites end up playing in next season, but Solomon appears determined to make the step-up to the Premier League, with a better chance of regular game time while in Yorkshire.
As reported by Leeds Live, the 25-year-old Solomon has settled well into the area since making the move last summer, with his recent run in the first-team frame rejuvenating the attacker.
Speaking to The Athletic, Solomon said: “I love it here. I love the fans. I love the club. I love the players, the manager. Especially now, I’m really enjoying it, and I love living here.
“Of course, it’s different to London, less things to do and we have less friends here. All the Israelis, they live in London, but we found our place here.
“You can’t predict what will happen in the future, whether I come back to Tottenham, whether I go to a different team, or whether I stay here in Leeds, you can’t predict it, but, of course, for me, the door is really open.”
It’s not been plain sailing for Solomon since his arrival at Elland Road, with a mixture of inconsistent early performances and a hamstring injury disrupting the early part of his stay.
But he now appears to be hitting his stride at the right time as Leeds look to strengthen their grip on the automatic promotion places, with the forward starting four out of the last five Championship games and registering two goals and as many assists over that period.
The Israeli international adds an extra dimension to the Leeds frontline and has the potential to make the departure of Crysencio Summerville feel like a distant memory if he can keep up this consistent run of form, with the player seeming as determined as ever to make a success at Leeds in this chapter of his career.
With such a positive and passionate attitude on display, Leeds may want to sign Solomon on a permanent deal, as he appears to be such an uplifting figure for the team both on and off the pitch.
