Whilst Olympique de Marseille’s injury list is slowly reducing over the international break, a potential return for summer signing Hamad Junior Traoré (25) is still up in in the air. According to a report from L’Équipe, a physiotherapist at the club was sent to the reserves as a punishment after the Ivorian winger suffered a relapse during running exercises. Signed from Premier League side Bournemouth this summer on a loan with a quasi-obligation to buy, Traoré has only played 84 minutes in an OM shirt this season after a promising campaign with Auxerre last season on loan. Meanwhile, Les Olympiens will be boosted by the return of captain Leonardo Balerdi, whilst fellow Argentine centre-back Facundo Medina and Algerian striker Amine Gouiri follow their respective recovery plans. OM face a trip just across the Côte d’Azur at OGC Nice this Friday, before Les Phocéens welcome Newcastle United at the Stade Vélodrome next week in the UEFA Champions League.
