Marseille ‘restart talks to sign’ Angers’ Himad Abdelli

Marseille have reopened talks to sign Angers midfielder Himad Abdelli, 26, according to Foot Mercato.

Abdelli has not featured for Angers since facing Marseille earlier this month. Before that match, manager Alexandre Dujeux said the Algeria international had agreed personal terms with OM.

Initial negotiations between the clubs did not yield an agreement. Discussions then paused, with Marseille aware they could sign him on a free in the summer.

With the window nearing its close, the report says fresh talks are under way and there is renewed optimism that a deal can be struck and Abdelli could join OM.

OM are set for a busy finish to the window, having already added Quinten Timber and Ethan Nwaneri.
