Brentford Women take on second-place Saltdean United Women in the London South East Premier Division on Sunday (2.30pm kick-off GMT).

Saltdean provide the toughest challenge yet for Carly Williams' side, who haven't conceded a goal so far this season.

The Bees have won all eight of their opening games in the division and have a three-point lead over Saltdean.

Despite their impressive winning run in the LSE Premier, Williams' side will need to bounce back from their FA cup first round proper defeat last weekend.

Speaking after the game Williams said: "We've left that result on the pitch, now all focus is on the league and the other cups we are in.

"I was most impressed after and during the game, the togetherness of the team was really positive. Although everyone's disappointed, I think we dominated the game and everyone's got around each other well.

"Still, within 90 minutes, we haven't lost a game so there are plenty of positives to take."

Last Time Out

The Bees fell to their first defeat of the season and their first under Williams as they were knocked out of the Adobe Women's FA cup on penalties by Sutton United.

The west Londoners went ahead courtesy of Esme Alaneme's first goal for the club but were pegged back by a Sutton equaliser with 15 minutes remaining.

The shoot-out went to sudden death and when goalkeeper Tatiana Saunders missed Brentford's sixth penalty, the U's capitalised and won the tie.

About Saltdean United

Saltdean have had a strong start to the 2025/26 campaign and sit just three points behind the Bees.

After eight games, they have won seven and have only lost once, to fellow high-flyers Dartford Women.

They also boast the best goal difference in the division with 26, having only conceded twice across the campaign.

Last time out, Saltdean progressed to the second round proper of the WFA cup with a 1-0 home victory against Bromley Women. In the league, they most recently beat Newhaven 3-0 on the road.

The Bees will have to be aware of the threat that top scorer Georgia Bridges poses; the striker and captain has scored 11 goals in just 10 starts for the Tigers.
