Mathys Tel back in Tottenham Champions League squad for knockout stages

Tottenham named their Champions League knockout squad on Friday, the club said, with Mathys Tel restored to the list.

The 20-year-old was omitted after the match against Slavia Prague on the ninth of December, and his return is now official.

The France Under-21 international is one of three additions made to cover injuries to Ben Davies and Rodrigo Bentancur.

Centre-back Radu Dragusin and winter signing Conor Gallagher, who arrived from Atlético de Madrid, also come in for the remainder of the European campaign.

Spurs have been strong in this season’s Champions League, finishing the league phase in fourth place, which secured direct qualification for the knockout stages.
