Milton Giménez to undergo surgery, Boca forward faces about two more months out

Milton Giménez will undergo surgery on Wednesday morning to address pubalgia, extending a lay-off that has run through the start of 2026. According to LaNumer12.com.ar, the Boca forward has yet to feature this year.

The injury issues at Boca persist. On Tuesday it was confirmed that Leandro Paredes will miss Friday's clásico against Racing with an ankle sprain.

Giménez, formerly of Banfield, spent around two months on conservative treatment without the improvement the club's medical staff expected. Specialists have therefore opted for an operation.

His last appearance was on 7 December 2025, against Racing.

After the procedure, recovery is estimated at about two further months. That would take his total absence to roughly four months.
