Brighton could welcome back four players for the trip to champions Liverpool, with Kaoru Mitoma, James Milner, Yasin Ayari and Tom Watson in contention. According to WeAreBrighton.com, all four are in the frame after recent injuries.
Mitoma has missed the past 10 matches across 11 weeks after a small problem forced him off in the 3-1 win over Chelsea on Saturday 28 September. The pain has subsided and he is considered an option.
Milner suffered another issue in the 4-2 defeat at Manchester United seven weeks ago, described as minor, and is in line to rejoin the matchday squad. Last season a small injury kept the midfielder out for nine months.
Ayari, absent for the last two games in which Brighton collected one point against Aston Villa and West Ham United, is also back in contention. Watson, out with an unspecified small issue for six matches after promising cameos, is likewise expected to return.
There is a setback, with Stefanos Tzimas ruled out for the rest of the season after rupturing his ACL against Aston Villa. He will undergo surgery and there is confidence in the medical staff that he can come back as soon as possible and in better shape.
Brighton have parted company with head of medicine Dr Florian Pfab in the past three weeks, one of the first calls by new sporting director Jason Ayto. Pfab had been at the club for 18 months, arriving from Eintracht Frankfurt for €250,000, around £218,000.
