Premier League holders Liverpool could be set to receive another unexpected broadside into their stuttering 2025/26 league campaign after bombshell quotes from star man Mohamed Salah have emerged.

The Egyptian icon was once again left on the bench by Arne Slot before the Reds let their lead slip in the dying embers of their Elland Road clash against Leeds United, which ended all square at 3-3.
For Salah, his continued exclusion from starting XI has gone a step too far.
"I can't believe it, I am very disappointed," said the club icon.
"I've done so much for this club, everyone can see that over the years, especially last season. To be on the bench, I don't know why. I feel like the club is throwing me under the bus. That's how I feel."
"I had a good relationship with the manager," Sala continued. "All of a sudden, we don't have any relationship. I don't know why. It seems to me that someone doesn't want me in the club."
After Liverpool watched as Trent Alexander-Arnold departed over the summer before welcoming Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike, and Florian Wirtz to Merseyside, Salah's future at Anfield may now, once again, take centre stage.
“We will see what happens. In my head, I will enjoy the game, even when I don’t play”.
“We will see what will happen. It’s at Anfield, say goodbye to the fans, go to AFCON…because I don’t know what will happen when I’m there anyway”.
Salah will join up with a World Cup-bound Egypt side that will open AFCON 2025 group play against Zimbabwe in Agadir on 22 December.
