The name Mohamed Salah has been making the rounds in Cairo for some time now. Several Egyptian media outlets have indeed mentioned a possible interest from Al Ahly in the Liverpool star. However, that rumor was quickly and categorically denied.

At 33, Salah is going through a challenging spell with the Reds. Despite signing a contract extension this summer, the forward has netted just three goals in the Premier League, and Liverpool have suffered six defeats in their last seven matches. This situation has fueled speculation about a potential departure, particularly to the Egyptian giants.
