Liverpool are waving goodbye to Mohamed Salah.
The Egyptian King joined the Reds back in 2017 - kicking off an era of dominance. Salah has won all there is to win in the club game for the Merseysiders - including two Premier League titles and the Champions League.
He has also carried off several top individual honours - sweeping the board in the Premier League last year and winning two African footballer of the year awards.
But a falling out with Arne Slot led to sporting director Richard Hughes tearing up Salah’s £400k per week contract one year early.
The 33-year-old is now free to choose his next destination - and given his stature within the game he will have no shortage of interest.
The Saudi Pro League has long been suggested as a potential landing spot for Salah - who was the subject of a £150m offer from Al-Ittihad in 2023.
While it’s expected that Saudi clubs will again be in the mix for the left-footer there are no guarantees he is ready to quit football at the very top level.
A report from Al-Riyadh newspaper in Saudi Arabia claims Salah is currently deliberating over his offers and is NOT expected to make a decision under after the forthcoming FIFA World Cup.
Salah is set to lead Egypt into battle in North America - and after the tournament he will make his next move. The report also claims that as well as Saudi and MLS interest Salah is attracting attention from Juventus.
Luciano Spalletti - the Juventus head coach - was Salah’s boss and mentor during their days together at Roma. With plenty of movement expected in Turin this summer a reunion between the duo could now be on the cards.
“Salah is currently considering multiple offers, including from Saudi League clubs, and also has other options to move to teams in Turkey and America, in addition to strong interest from Italian club Juventus to sign him,” the report reads - via 365Scores.
Salah would make far more money in Saudi Arabia than what’s on offer in Serie A.
he retains a desire to test himself at the highest levels. Therefore a deal to join the Old Lady of Italian football should not be ruled out.
