The transfer fee is just over 10.5 million Swedish kronor (about 1 million euros, including bonuses). The player is expected to sign a four-year contract with the Swedish club. IK Sirius, who finished ninth in the Allsvenskan last season, is counting on Soumah to strengthen their central defense, after already landing Samuel Adindu from Hammarby IF earlier this winter.

This season, Soumah has mainly played with Gent's reserve team in the Belgian second division, featuring in 19 matches, scoring once, and often wearing the captain's armband. He also has three caps for the Guinea national team.
