News emerged on Monday morning that AS Monaco were looking to sack Adi Hutter. It was former Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic who emerged as the clear frontrunner to take the job at the Stade Louis II, however, L’Équipe understands that talks between the two parties have now ended.
Monaco currently sit fifth in Ligue 1, but after a 2-2 draw to local rivals OGC Nice on Sunday, the writing is seemingly on the wall for the Austrian. Talks have been initiated with other managers as Monaco look to find a successor before pulling the trigger. The favourite was Terzic, however, the German is not keen on taking the role and so talks with the former Borussia Dortmund manager ended during the day on Monday.
The Principality club will therefore have to turn to alternative targets. L’Équipe understands, however, that neither Marco Rose nor Thiago Motta have been contacted, whilst Sergio Conceicao is more tempted to take the job at Al-Ittihad.
