Having booked their place in the 2025 Arab Cup final after a commanding display against the United Arab Emirates (3-0), Morocco also made headlines off the pitch. After the match, Tarik Sektioui made a point of acknowledging what he considered a valuable and genuine support: that of the Algerian fans, present or following throughout the tournament.
Speaking to Sporteam, the Moroccan coach delivered a heartfelt and powerful message.
"I am a human being who does not recognize borders, to be completely honest. We are one, thank God. Life is short, life is beautiful, and humanity is a beautiful thing. A kind heart is a beautiful thing. Cooperation is a beautiful thing. We are one."
His words resonated widely on social media, where the coach’s calming tone was highly praised. On the sporting front, the Atlas Lions will face Jordan in the final, aiming to follow in the footsteps of Algeria, who lifted the trophy in 2021.
