Benfica B forward Gonçalo Moreira has been named Liga Portugal 2 Young Player of the Month for March.
According to Glorioso 1904, he received 13.68% of the coaches’ votes, ahead of Académico de Viseu’s Gustavo Costa on 13.33% and Vizela’s José Sampaio with 12.59%.

In March he recorded two goals and one assist, including the decisive strike in the win over Farense.
The award underlines his growing influence for Nélson Veríssimo’s side, where he has been gaining prominence this season.
Valued at 1.2 million euros, the Portugal under-21 international has played 37 matches across Benfica’s B, junior and under-23 teams this term. Across 2,443 minutes, he has 19 goals and seven assists.
