Napoli and Lazio meet at the Stadio Maradona on Saturday, the hosts second on 66 points and the visitors ninth on 44. According to The Laziali, a combined XI reflects the 22-point gap, with only two Lazio players included.
The side is a 4-3-3. Vanja Milinkovic-Savic is picked in goal ahead of Ivan Provedel, who impressed before his season-ending injury. Giovanni Di Lorenzo takes right-back.
Mario Gila partners Alessio Romagnoli at centre-back. Lazio have conceded fewer league goals than Napoli after 32 rounds, 30 to 31, which supports Romagnoli’s inclusion. Leonardo Spinazzola is preferred at left-back for his attacking thrust and discipline.
Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa starts on the right of midfield, one of Serie A’s leading box-to-box players. Stanislav Lobotka anchors the side, ahead of Nicola Rovella. Scott McTominay, last season’s Serie A MVP, completes the trio.
Kevin De Bruyne fills the right wing, not his natural berth but his quality tells. Rasmus Hojlund leads the line with 10 league goals, while Boualye Dia, Daniel Maldini, Tijjani Noslin and Petar Ratkov have five between them. Alisson Santos, a January arrival, is preferred to Mattia Zaccagni on the left for dribbling and precision.
