Neo Química Arena to host Brazil v United States women’s friendly on six June | OneFootball

Brazil’s women will return to Neo Química Arena during the next FIFA window to face the United States in a friendly on Saturday six June at 18:30.

Meu Timao notes the Corinthians venue will be among the 2027 Women’s World Cup hosts and is being considered for the opening match, subject to FIFA’s structural requirements, including a capacity increase.

Initially, the arena was designated to stage seven matches, five in the group phase, one in the round of 16 and one semi-final.

After the number of host cities was trimmed from 12 to eight, there is a possibility the ground could receive additional fixtures during the tournament.

Other confirmed venues are Maracanã, Mineirão, Arena Pernambuco, Arena Castelão, Arena Fonte Nova, Mané Garrincha and Beira-Rio.

Neo Química Arena has a strong pedigree in major events, hosting the 2014 World Cup opener and five other games, including the Argentina v Netherlands semi-final. It also staged Rio 2016 football matches, the 2019 Copa América and NFL games in 2024 and 2025.
