New Barcelona signing Karim Adeyemi has on Thursday provided an insight into his hopes of striking an immediate partnership with Lamine Yamal on the pitch.

Frontman Adeyemi was of course unveiled as the latest addition to Hansi Flick’s star-studded Barcelona squad earlier today.

After four seasons on the books of Borussia Dortmund, the German international has opted for a new challenge in Catalunya’s capital for the years ahead.

Adeyemi slots into one of the most talent-packed frontlines in all of world football, alongside the likes of Raphinha, Anthony Gordon, Ferran Torres and, most notably, Lamine Yamal.

Speaking during his first appearance in front of the media as a Blaugrana player on Thursday, the 24-year-old was therefore drawn on the name of his new attacking partner-in-crime.

And Adeyemi appears to be excited by the prospect of joining forces with Lamine, having responded:

“Lamine is incredible. I think we can build a great connection on the pitch. I know how to make the most of the spaces that open up. There are a lot of young players in the squad, and I hope we can understand each other quickly and build that chemistry. We all have to stay united towards the same goal.”
