Newcastle United fans treated appallingly by our club at Bournemouth – Action needed

Newcastle United fans travelling to Bournemouth for the longest trip of the season.
The match moved to 2pm on a Sunday making the 700 mile long trip even more difficult.
Travelling by rail on a Sunday is even more of a challenge.
Driving down from Tyneside via coach or car not exactly a great option either.
However, most of those making the trip are amongst the most loyal Newcastle United fans you will find and are doing it for the love of their football club.
Honestly, they should be given medals for supporting the team match after match wherever they play, not face nonsense like this…
Newcastle United Supporters Club via their social media reporting on issues at Bournemouth – 21 September 2025:
‘Disappointed to hear of 60 ticket ID checks today and no Supporter Services representative present.
Longest Premier League away trip, rail engineering works and coaches leaving through the early hours of the morning.
Fans not criminals.
We are the only club that deliberately deactivate tickets and the supporter isn’t aware until it is scanned at the turnstile.
Lots of clubs use a form of ticket checks but, to our knowledge, we are the only club that deliberately deactivate tickets and don’t inform the supporter prior to scanning the ticket.
Clubs usually notify the supporter in advance that they must collect a ticket.’
Action is needed.
Maybe our new fan-friendly NUFC CEO David Hopkinson will get on the case. Indeed, the entire home and away ticketing is a shambles and needs care and attention and fairness.
Actions speak louder than words, it is all yours David.
