PSG sold Xavi Simons to RB Leipzig earlier this year, and the Dutch midfielder has already caught the eye of several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspur.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Leipzig paid €80 million for Simons, with €55 million paid up front. He signed a contract running through June 2027, and the deal includes a sell-on clause.

With the summer transfer window fast approaching, speculation around Simons’ future is picking up. A recent report from CaughtOffside suggested Manchester United may now be leading the race to sign him, ahead of rivals Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Fichajes reported that Tottenham are planning to bolster their squad ahead of a Champions League return, naming Simons as one of three major targets. The outlet even claimed the club is “dreaming” of landing the Dutch international.

RB Leipzig signed Simons from PSG for €50 million in January, but they’re now looking to cash in with a €20 million profit, according to Bild.

Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, Manchester United and Arsenal are all keeping a close eye on the 22-year-old after he recorded 11 goals and eight assists in 33 matches last season.

Barcelona—where Simons spent nearly a decade in the academy—and Bayern Munich have also been linked in the past. Any club hoping to land him this summer will need to meet Leipzig’s €70 million asking price.
