Express and Star reports that Newcastle United are interested in Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Jorgen Strand Larsen. The 25-year-old Norwegian forward recently joined Wolves on a permanent contract, but the Tyneside club are still monitoring his availability. Talks of Alexander Isak’s potential departure have prompted the club to consider this move. Isak is reported to want a move to Liverpool, which has turned Newcastle’s attention to reliable options like Strand Larsen.

Jorgen Strand Larsen’s strengths are his steady movement, strength in aerial challenges and calm intelligence in front of the goal. He is known for his precise positioning inside the box. His stature and link-up play could fit into Newcastle’s current system, especially when the club has to adopt new tactics in different match situations.

Would Strand Larsen be the right bet for Newcastle?

If Newcastle United can get him at a reasonable price, the deal could be beneficial for the club. The absence of a striker like Isak can affect the team, so a player like Strand Larsen, who is used to the tempo of the Premier League, could make an immediate impact. He has what it takes to bring balance and consistency to Newcastle’s line-up.

One thing to wonder about, though, is that Wolverhampton Wanderers recently signed him permanently, so it’s unclear whether the club will let him go so soon. If Newcastle United make a big offer to bring him in, Wolves might consider it. However, Newcastle United will have to tread carefully – a high price could lead to pressure. Overall, if the price remains balanced, Strand Larsen could prove to be a stable, reliable option.
