Neymar, 34, will miss Brazil's final camp before the 2026 World Cup squad is named, yet he still hopes to play at the tournament.

According to Le Progres, the forward has not been called up for the international window in which Brazil face France on 26 March and Croatia on 1 April.

Speaking on a live stream at a Kings League event in Brazil, the 128-cap international said he was sad and disappointed by the omission, and that he remains focused on daily work in training and matches, adding that the dream continues.

Head coach Carlo Ancelotti chose not to select him, instead preferring Endrick, and cited Neymar not being at 100% physically. He added that if the player is ready for the World Cup, he could be called up.

Neymar now has about two months to push for a recall before the tournament, which runs from 11 June to 19 July.
