Niko Kovac says Nico Schlotterbeck will miss Borussia Dortmund’s Bundesliga trip to RB Leipzig on Saturday.
According to BuLi News, the centre-back sat out Tuesday’s 2-0 win over Atalanta with muscular problems, and the head coach addressed his status at Thursday’s press conference.

Kovac said Schlotterbeck was back on the pitch and feels good, but stressed the stance is precautionary. Dortmund do not want to take undue risks, as an early return could lengthen recovery, so patience is needed.
The coach did not clarify whether Schlotterbeck might feature in next week’s return leg against Atalanta or in the top-of-the-table meeting with Bayern Munich.
Emre Can, Niklas Süle and Filippo Mané also remain out for the Leipzig trip.
