The Scottish giants are keen on adding firepower to their attacking department this summer and early in the window, they brought in Lawrence Shankland from Hearts.

Rangers are in the market to sign wingers, as they saw Mikey Moore returning to Tottenham Hotspur following the expiry of his loan and Oliver Antman joining Anderlecht this summer.

They were keen to bring back Moore to Ibrox this summer, but the Spurs winger is prioritising a transfer to one of the top five European Leagues and Bundesliga outfit 1. FC Koln have emerged as favourites which comes as a blow to Rangers.

On Monday night, Rangers made a breakthrough in their pursuit for winger targets as they agreed a deal with German side Hannover for Daisuke Yokota, who is set to undergo medical with Gers today before he signs a long-term deal with the Glasgow giants.

Derek McInnes wants to add another winger as well though and their search to bolster their attacking department has led the Gers to Turkey.

According to Spanish journalist Matteo Moretto, Rangers think Fenerbahce star Aydin fits the profile of player they are looking for in the market and they have him ‘on the list’.

However, Aydin is gathering significant interest in the summer from several European outfits, including Feyenoord, Espanyol and Hamburg.

The 25-year-old winger joined Fenerbahce in the summer of 2024 and he impressed during his first season for the Turkish giants, where he made 15 goal contributions in all competitions.

However, last season he played a bit part role for Fenerbahce, though he was part of Turkey’s 2026 World Cup squad, where he made an appearance during their win against the USA.

Aydin has two years left on his contract with Fenerbahce and the Turkish giants have brought in a host of new faces to their attacking department, which could affect Aydin’s game time at Istanbul.

He was born in the Netherlands and started in the youth ranks at AZ Alkmaar, before then being take to Turkey by Bucaspor.

Rangers will have to beat stiff competition to land Aydin and with the transfer market in full swing, they will need to act quickly.
