Roma centre-back Jan Ziolkowski has emerged as a Nottingham Forest target, with Siamo La Roma reporting the Reds have expressed verbal interest. The 20-year-old joined from Legia Warszawa last year for about €6-7m and could move again.

Roma are understood to want €20m (£17m) for the Poland international, while Forest value him at about €15m (£13m) including bonuses. The report adds the Premier League side could move closer to the Serie A club’s figure.

Bournemouth previously looked at Ziolkowski but are now considering other options. Brighton and Hove Albion have also been linked, though he is not viewed as a priority.

The summer window for Premier League clubs runs from June 15 to September 1. Head coach Vitor Pereira wants most business completed early to maximise time with his core group.

Defence is expected to be assessed as Forest plan for 2026/27, in line with a recent focus on recruiting young players with upside. Jair Cunha, Tyler Bindon and academy graduate Zach Abbott are already on the books.

Bindon spent last season on loan at Sheffield United and a decision is pending on his next step. Jair and Abbott featured in 2025/26, with Jair arguably now ahead of Morato in the pecking order.

Murillo and Nikola Milenkovic have established themselves as the first-choice centre-backs. Murillo has admirers but recently signed a new deal to 2030.

Willy Boly is almost certain to depart this summer. The 35-year-old is out of contract and has not played since September.
