Nottingham Forest ‘express interest’ in Jayden Oosterwolde as Crystal Palace competition grows | OneFootball

Nottingham Forest are considering a move for Fenerbahce defender Jayden Oosterwolde as Sean Dyche weighs January options. The Reds have yet to add to the squad this month, and Dyche has maintained it would be a slow window, though some movement is expected before two February.

According to The Sun, the 24-year-old has emerged as a target for Forest, and there is competition for his signature.

Forest are understood to have shown interest in the left-footer, who can operate at left-back and centre-back, while Roma are also said to be keen after pushing since the window opened. Crystal Palace appear to be the biggest threat, and are said to have stepped up their pursuit following Marc Guehi’s departure to Manchester City.

Oosterwolde came through FC Twente, had a spell at Parma, then joined Fenerbahce three years ago. He signed fresh terms last summer to stay until 2028, and has been a regular this season with 25 appearances.

Nikola Milenkovic and Murillo are Dyche’s first-choice centre-back pairing, with Morato, Zach Abbott, Jair Cunha and Willy Boly also in reserve. Boly could depart this month before his contract expires in the summer, while Murillo has admirers but is unlikely to be sold mid-campaign.

Full-back remains an area to address before the deadline. Oleksandr Zinchenko’s loan from Arsenal is expected to be cut short before a move to Ajax. Ola Aina and Neco Williams cover both flanks, Nicolo Savona is versatile, while Eric da Silva Moreira and Cuiabano have returned from loans.
