Nottingham Forest began with a three-goal advantage from the first leg in Türkiye.
At 13 minutes, Anderson worked space and whipped a cross across goal without finding support. Soon after, Lucca met a McAtee inswinger at the back post, heading tamely on target and crashing down on his left shoulder.
On 16 minutes, Hutchinson tore down the left and delivered another inviting ball, the forwards unable to react. Fenerbahce broke and earned a corner that came to nothing.
By 18 minutes, an away fan revealed a Derby shirt and kissed the badge. Play was halted as Nene, troubled by a sore hip, received treatment.
At 21 minutes, Hutchinson skinned Demir again but his cross found Guendouzi. Soon after, Murillo was caught upfield as Guendouzi intercepted and released Nene down the right, and with Cunha and Morato scrambling, Nene squared for Akturkoglu to drill a right-foot finish into the bottom left.
On 27 minutes, Anderson almost levelled, surging down the inside-left and fizzing an angled strike just wide of the right post.
Two minutes later, Kante caught Dominguez with a high boot and Forest’s free-kick to the back post was headed behind by Demir.
At 31 minutes, a short corner broke down to groans, but Forest forced another when Dominguez cushioned a header towards Lucca that Ismail Yuksek turned behind.
