Official: Barcelona unveil special Travis Scott jersey for El Clasico vs Real Madrid | OneFootball

Ever since partnering up with Spotify as their main shirt sponsor, FC Barcelona have had special shirts for big games against Real Madrid featuring popular artists from across the globe in place of the Spotify logo.

Drake, Rosalia, The Rolling Stones, Karol G, and Coldplay have all graced the Barça jersey in the past Clasico encounters.

Now, as Barcelona get set to take on their arch-rivals Real Madrid on May 11 in La Liga, Travis Scott has been selected to feature on the Catalans’ shirt.

Earlier today, the club officially unveiled the special edition shirt featuring Scott’s ‘Cactus Jack’ record label logo on it.

This emblem will also appear on the first women’s football team’s kit for the Liga F match on May 18.

Among the other candidates reportedly under consideration for the upcoming Clasico were British singer Ed Sheeran as well as Taylor Swift.

Spotify ultimately decided to with Travis Scott, who at 33, commands a massive global following and boasts over 67 million monthly listeners on the music streaming platform.

In fact, For the first time, Spotify will bring the artist who stars in the logo change to perform in Barcelona before the Clasico with Travis Scott’s set for his first concert in the city.

Barcelona are currently four points clear of Real Madrid in the La Liga table and a victory in the Clasico at Montjuic next week could clinch the title for them.
