Mamelodi Sundowns have announced the departure of Mosa Lebusa, who becomes the club's first exit in the ongoing January transfer window.

The 33-year-old defender signed for the Tshwane giants in August 2018 from Ajax Cape Town and went on to establish himself as one the finest players in the team's golden era.

Lebusa went on to make 207 appearances for Masandawana with nine goals and four assists, lifting 11 trophies, including seven league titles in the process.

Having featured nine times across all competitions in the 2025/26 campaign, the experienced stalwart is said to be seeking game time.

The former Bafana international is heavily linked with a move to Stellenbosch FC, with talks between the two parties said to be at an advanced stage.
