Official: Real Madrid announce fresh injury blow | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Wednesday announced a fresh personnel setback in the club’s first-team ranks.

This comes amid confirmation that Trent Alexander-Arnold is set for an incoming spell on the sidelines.

Defender Alexander-Arnold of course set alarm bells sounding in Spain’s capital on Tuesday night.

This came after the Englishman, just minutes into Real Madrid’s Champions League opener against Olympique Marseille, was forced to limp off.

Alexander-Arnold, in turn, made his way to Valdebebas earlier today, to undergo a round of medical checks and scans.

And unfortunately, as much have since confirmed an injury blow for the summer arrival in La Liga.

As per a statement across Real Madrid’s website and social media platforms:

‘Following tests carried out today by the Real Madrid Medical Services on our player, Trent Alexander-Arnold, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury to the biceps femoris in his left leg. Further updates will follow.’
