Djibril Sidibé (33), part of the FIFA World Cup-winning France squad back in 2018, has left Toulouse FC following the expiry of his contract.

Sidibé joined Toulouse back in the summer of 2024 and has spent two accomplished seasons with Le TéFéCé. He played 63 times for the club, scoring three goals and registering seven assists. He was an ever-present last season, playing 35 games. His versatility was a particular asset to Carles Martínez Novell, who played him at centre-back and at right-back.

However, he now departs following the expiry of his two-year deal. The defender, who has also had stints at AS Monaco, Lille OSC, ESTAC Troyes, Everton, and AEK Athens, is now on the search for a new club.

There could be further departures in the defensive department for Toulouse this summer. Former England youth international Charlie Cresswell is being heavily linked with an exit, and Ouest-France understands he has agreed personal terms with Stade Rennais. Crystal Palace are also in for the former Leeds United defender.
