OL Lyonnes sign Johanna Rytting Kaneryd from Chelsea on deal to 2029

OL Lyonnes announced on Monday morning the signing of Sweden winger Johanna Rytting Kaneryd from Chelsea, on a contract until 2029.

According to L'Équipe, it is their third summer addition after goalkeeper Maria Luisa Grohs and Scottish forward Caroline Weir.

Rytting Kaneryd joined Chelsea in 2022 and made 115 appearances, scoring 12 goals.

With the English club she won three league titles in 2023, 2024 and 2025, and two FA Cups in 2023 and 2025.

The Sweden international has 70 caps, was named the country's player of the year in 2024, and finished 23rd in the most recent Ballon d'Or.

OL Lyonnes begin the 2026-27 season at Fleury in early September, then host Paris FC, last season's beaten finalists, the following weekend.
