In a recent report, Bild revealed that on-loan Tottenham Hotspur defender Luka Vuskovic is on the radar of Liverpool. It has been stated that the Reds are competing with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Chelsea in the race to land the Croat centre-back, who is playing on loan at Hamburg, from the North London club this summer.
Vuskovic is having an impressive loan spell at Hamburg as he has produced a string of solid displays for them on the defensive end of the field during this campaign. The 19-year-old has made 26 appearances for the German club this season, scoring five times and picking up one assist in multiple competitions.
The Croat talent is currently among the best young defenders in European football. Thus, Spurs would find it difficult to fend off interest from other top clubs and retain his services beyond this summer.
His current contract at his parent club, Tottenham, will run out in the summer of 2030. Hence, the North London club will be under no immediate pressure to cash in on him this off-season.

Vuskovic is a solid tackler of the ball and can read the danger well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when needed and is proficient at playing his way out from the back.
Standing at 1.93m, the Croat sensation can use his strong frame to win his fair share of aerial duels. However, there are some concerns over whether he would be able to maintain his good form in the Premier League if Spurs manage to keep hold of him beyond the end of this campaign.
Based on his form this season, Vuskovic has what it takes to challenge for a regular first-team spot at Tottenham in the coming years. He has got the skill set to be a success story at the North London club in the long run.
At 19, Vuskovic has got the potential to be a world-class player in his position someday. Therefore, Spurs would be wise not to cash in on him in this summer transfer period as his market value will only increase in the future.
